This March 8, we celebrate International Women's Rights Day. Although our society has made progress in gender equality, the business world is still an environment where women have yet to impose their presence

In Canada as well as in Quebec, several initiatives have been put in place to shed light on these women entrepreneurs. A good example is the magazine Premières en affaires, which produces the Palmarès des entreprises au féminin every year. It presents 110 Quebec businesses owned by women that stand out here and elsewhere.

For the first year, kotmo is part of the Women's business awards of Premières en affaires. This recognition is a real honour for the team, especially for our partners Céline and Cindy. Thanks to their leadership, they have carved out a place for themselves in their industry and helped other companies adopt sustainable practices in the procurement of their promotional products.

To mark this very special day, here are some of the companies in the Prize List that particularly inspire us:

> A Quebec creative agency run by women that is always pushing the influence of Quebec companies further.
A commercial cleaning company that focuses on the development and improvement of its staff's skills with its Campus Roy initiative.
Biron Groupe Santé
A family business specializing in medical services that lent a hand during the pandemic.
A B Corp certified company that manufactures environmentally responsible packaging for pharmaceutical products.

Many thanks to the Premières en affaires team for this distinction.
