BDC was looking for a uniquely designed product. After sharing ideas and discussing, they choose our Sur-Sous product.

The Positive Impacts Of Our Products

Economic spinoffs – One of our greatest commitments and values here at Kotmo is to design and create products locally. This product was designed by Atelier Non-Useless and produced by the designers of AllStudio, right here in Montreal. All materials were bought locally in Quebec. The cutting and engraving of the wood was done in our studio, as well as all post-production of the product. This means 3 local businesses were involved in the creation process for this unique Sur-Sous.

Environmental impacts – As we mentioned, the manufacturers are located in Montreal and the production is local. Therefore, the products only traveled from our offices to the BDC office in Montreal –  meaning less than 4 miles. This means their greenhouse gas impacts were limited throughout the production process — that’s a win for the company, and the environment!

Social benefits – By handing out a locally made product, Patience is putting the spotlight on local products and showing off the creativity of Canadian designers. The company is therefore positioning itself to promote local talent.

BDC – A role model for our Ecoleaders

BDC can see the impact it makes by choosing a local supplier: it encourages local creativity, minimizes environmental impacts and supports jobs in the country. This strategy is in line with its mission and overall vision.
