A bulk bag for all your groceries!
La Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec — FIQ was looking for a product to give to their members during Health Awareness Month. The team particularly loved our bulk bag.
The positive impacts of the bulk bag.
Economic spinoffs – One of our most important commitments and values is to design and create products locally. For this project, we worked with Dans Le Sac, a local company specialized in textile production. The cutting and stitching were done by a family-owned business in the Eastern Townships. The printing was also done by a company in the same region. The bags were then assembled by a non-profit organisation that helps with employment reintegration. This means that 6 local businesses were involved in the creation process of this product, and it was 100% made in Quebec.
Environmental impacts – As we mentioned, the manufacturers are all located in Quebec. The bags therefore only traveled within the province. A minimal amount of greenhouse gas was produced overall as a result — that’s a win for the company, and the environment!
Social benefits – By purchasing a locally made product, La Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec (FIQ) is putting the spotlight on local production and showing off the creativity of Canadian designers. The company is therefore positioning itself to promote local talent.
La Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec – A role model for our Ecoleaders
La Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec can see the impact it makes by choosing a local supplier: it encourages local creativity, minimizes environmental impacts and supports jobs in the country. This strategy is in line with its mission and overall vision.
